Graduation Information
For New Brunswick Undergraduate Students
All New Brunswick undergraduate students who anticipate finishing degree requirements within the coming year MUST apply online for graduation by the deadline dates listed below.
By completing the Online Diploma Application, students will be
certain to receive their requested "Diploma Name" with the correct
spacing, spelling and accent marks; tell us if they will attend
graduation; update their email address, phone number, and permanent
address; and indicate whether they prefer to have their diploma mailed
or picked up in the Registrar's Office.

Undergraduate (Hard Copy) Diploma Application
- for prior students without a current NetID and password. Please
contact our office (848)445-4636 to receive the hard copy Diploma
Application.

Commencement information (schedule and invitations) will be sent to
you by your college. Please check your college website by clicking on
your college name (above), or contact your Dean's Office with specific
questions.
For all graduates attending the May Commencement Ceremony in Schools 01, 07, 10, 11, 14, 25, 33, or 37 -- NO diplomas will be distributed at Commencement. Diplomas will be mailed to all graduates approximately two months after graduation to the Permanent Address listed in our database as of June 1st. Therefore, if your address changes after commencement, please be sure to update it at: https://personalinfo.rutgers.edu/
or the mailing label will be incorrect and graduates who have not
updated their mailing address are responsible for lost or missing
diplomas.(The University is not responsible for any loss or damage that may
occur in transit via U.S. Postal Service for mailed diplomas.)
Degrees are conferred by the university upon recommendation of the
faculty. Degree Verification of October and January degrees are
available from the Office of the Registrar by ordering an Official
Transcript at: https://transcripts.rutgers.edu/transcripts/studentTranscriptGateway.login
or by requesting a Certificate of Graduation (request in writing to the
Undergraduate Registrar's Office -- include name, ruid, college and
date of graduation).
Diplomas and
Official Transcripts will be withheld from all students whose financial
accounts and debts (including tuition, housing, parking, and library)
are not cleared.
